The Defence Ministry announced that facilities are being arranged to take care of civilians moving out of the operational areas. The Commissioner General of Essential Services is continuing with supplying to the civilians in areas held hostage by the LTTE. The Foreign Minister, Defence Secretary and the Commissioner General of Essential Services made these remarks at a briefing for the Colombo based diplomats today (28th August 2008).
