PERMANENT MISSION OF SRI LANKA TO THE UNITED NATIONS IN NEW YORK
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Sri Lanka has decided to provide an opportunity for internship (non remunerative) to work with the Sri Lanka Permanent Mission to United Nations in New York, from 1st October-30 December 2009 during the forthcoming Sixty-Fourth Session of the General Assembly.
The Internship will provide opportunities to obtain an understanding of issues of concern and relevance for Sri Lanka in an international context. It will also give a first hand experience on issues of concern to the international community at a global level.
ARE YOU: • A citizen of Sri Lanka or possess dual citizenship of Sri Lanka, resident in Sri Lanka or overseas • Having a undergraduate degree (First-degree) or pursuing post graduate studies in any academic field • Above 21 years of age • A team-player with good inter-personal skills
The Internships are not-remunerative. Interns will be responsible for their travel cost, visa arrangements, medical facilities and living expenses during the period of Internship in New York.
DURATION: Interns are expected to work full time for a minimum of 6 weeks (continuous).
All interns will receive a performance based commendation letter signed by the Permanent Representative at the end of the internship period.
